Maryland Returns to “State of Emergency” in Resurgence of COVID-19

31 October 2020 —  Maryland, a state that had diligently worked to control COVID outbreak and aggravation, finds itself once again in a state of emergency, as Governor Larry Hogan renewed the proclamation on Friday, 30 October. This is the tenth COVID-19 state of emergency proclamation since the crisis began with the first on 05 March 2020. “While Maryland’s positivity and case rates remain lower than most states in America, we are closely monitoring increases in some of our key health metrics as well as rising numbers in states across the country,” said Hogan in a statement. “This crisis is far from over, and this virus does not recognize state borders.
