A Guide to Holiday Gifting in 2020

While the coronavirus pandemic has made navigating the holiday season quite difficult, I hope there is still enough joy and holiday spirit to get us through 2020. The biggest piece of advice I have for this season of gifting is to shop small! Many small businesses have suffered through this pandemic and are struggling to stay open. With that in mind, please try your best to support your local businesses this holiday season. While this gift guide is mostly for shopping online, try to shop small and use this guide for possible gift ideas this holiday season.

For anyone currently in a pandemic…: Create your own DIY Pandemic Survival Kit with a few supplies from your local convenience store! Gather all the essentials (hand sanitizer, face masks, gloves, headache medicine, and some snacks, etc.) and put them neatly in a cute bag or basket for the useful and easy gift!

One final reminder: The winter holidays may look different this year but one thing still stays the same, not everything is about material gifts. Show someone you love them by giving them a phone call or writing a nice hand-written letter. Spending money on gifts is common during this time of year but also take time to think about those who are unable to spend time with family this year and do not have the resources to purchase gifts.
