Hiya, I’m Claudia! I’m a senior this year and writing for The Anchor for the third year now and I couldn’t be more excited! Along with writing for The Anchor I am a varsity rower, president of the Severn garden club and active member in French club and SWAG. 

Grace Derderian, ’21

Hello! My name is Grace, and I am a senior at Severn this year. I am still fairly new to writing for The Anchor, but have always had a passion for writing and sharing different perspectives on various topics. I am very excited to be a larger part of the team this year! Outside of writing I love theatre, music, and softball. My favorite areas of study are English and the Sciences.

Emily Giorgio, ’21

My name is Emily Giorgio and I am a junior this year. I have always enjoyed writing and am excited to contribute to The Anchor for the second year in a row. My favorite subjects are English and history and I love hanging out with friends and family in my free time.

Tait Tavolacci, ’22

Hello! My name is Tait Tavolacci and I’m a sophomore this year. I wrote for The Anchor last year, and I’m excited to be drawing cartoons for the newspaper this year! My favorite subject is math, and I love baking, reading, writing short stories, and playing board games with my family.

Hi! My name is Casey He and I’m a junior. I love writing for The Anchor about life at Severn. Outside of school, I am interested in writing about consumer technology and photography. I also play tennis and spend a lot of time binge-watching Netflix.

Hi my name is Claire Hill, and I’m a junior this year! This is my second year as a part of The Anchor, and I’m excited to start contributing more to the club this year. My favorite subjects are probably math and chemistry, and in my free time I like cooking and walking my dog.

Emma Campbell, ’21

Hello! My name is Emma and I am so excited to be contributing to the Severn Current this year! I was an Associate Editor for our student-run newspaper The Anchor last year and am now the Editor-in-Chief.  Writing and journalism have always been a passion of mine, and I’m thrilled to dive into current events throughout this History of News course. My favorite subjects are Biology and English, and in my free time I enjoy running and reading.
